We can trace our origins back to 1931, when Dame Ninette de Valois founded the Vic-Wells Ballet – a precursor to BRB, established under the great Peter Wright in 1990. But while we’re proud of our history, we’re also passionately committed to the future of ballet – and we’re doing our best to leave it in good hands. Our inclusive learning and engagement programmes are helping to nurture a new generation of young dancers, making sure they can take forward our great art form through the years and decades to come.

Hopefield Animal Sanctuary sits on 53 acres of beautiful countryside in the heart of Brentwood, Essex in the UK. The sanctuary currently cares for over 600 sick, unwanted and mistreated animals. Our mission is to help animals in need and provide education and awareness for humane behaviour towards all animals around the world. Our animals live out their lives at Hopefield in peace, surrounded by love and receiving the best care.
We are open to the public which is a vital part of our fundraising to enable the sanctuary to care for our resident animals and allows us to educate and encourage visitors to think about their own animals at home and in the wild.
Our hope is that Hopefield inspires others to become advocates themselves for better animal welfare so we can continue our work………Saving Animals Together
